Ministry: Sound
Purpose: To provide excellent sound reinforcement/amplification for all components of a service which will enhance & further communicate the message of the topic of the day.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the service order for a given service. Take direction from the Service Director, Music Director, Live Service Producer for sound needs and timing
- Arrive for services 2 hours prior to start
- Completely review Sound check list prior to the sound check
- Mix music as band/singers rehearse and have sound checks. Check speaker mics also
- Give wireless mics. to service participants with explanation of use and Oak Hills procedure if needed; Collect mics at end of services and put away in zip pouches
- Be responsible for finding a replacement if you are unable to serve and notify Service Planning Director of the change
- Notify Service Planning Director/as well as sound team of any equipment failures, shortages, or inconsistent operation
- Attend periodical sound workshops
