Lent

February 22 - April 8

The Season of Lent is the six-week period leading up to Easter and is a time to prepare our hearts and minds to remember Jesus’ life, death and resurrection. It’s a traditional time to fast or give something up.

We invite you to participate in a couple of ways:

1. Read the Lent for Everyone devotion. You can find it here. It’s become an Oak Hills tradition and never fails to make this season extra meaningful and profound.

2. Fast one meal per week (or whatever you feel led to give up) and set the money aside that you would have spent on it for Every Meal and the Neighborhood Partnership. Bring that offering on Easter Sunday – this has been a beautiful way for us to be Jesus’ hands and feet in our community and we are looking forward to continuing to partner with our neighbors.
