Oak Hills Church had its first service on September 15, 1991 at Northview Elementary School in Eagan. Most of the 25 families present that day had been members of a larger church in Bloomington that had a vision to start a new congregation in this growing community south of the river. During the first 10 years the church met in 5 different rented locations but continued to grow and since 2001 has worshiped at it's permanent location near downtown Eagan on Yankee Doodle and Coachman Roads.
From the very beginning the church had a very clear mission to grow the church by reaching unchurched people who were seeking a deeper personal experience with God. Today, with over 250 families regularly attending, that mission is still at the heart of the church and its vision.
