Oak Hills Missions

salt_light.006.jpeg

Be "Salt & Light" to the world in 2018 and get involved in Missions! Missions has been a cornerstone of Oak Hills Church since our inception. We're excited to offer many ways to serve both locally and globally in 2018.

You can be Salt & Light by:
- Serve: Take part in local and global missions opportunities
- Pray: Commit to pray regularly for our missionaries
- Give: Make a monthly missions commitment

Oak Hills Missions makes an impact everyday with your support. Your commitment provides for our community partners and missionary efforts throughout the world.

You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world - like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
— Matthew: 5:13-15

Neighborhood Partnership

The Neighborhood Partnership shows the love of Christ by building relationships with community partners to meet physical, spiritual, and social needs within our neighborhood.

With your help, we serve our community by providing assistance to individuals and families in need. Together we:

  • Partner with local non-profits to serve our community
  • Serve free sno-cones and water bottles to our community during the Eagan July 4th Funfest Parade
  • Equip individuals and families to host local National Night Out events in their neighborhood
  • Bless those in need at Christmas through the Christmas Giving Tree
  • Cheer local senior living facilities with carols, crafts and treats through the Christmas Family Adventure

If you have a heart for our community, the Neighborhood Partnership would love to have you involved!

The health of your soul is the hinge on which the rest of your life hangs. It's the difference between deep, satisfied spirituality and a restless, dispassionate faith. In this class, based on the inspiring book and DVD series by John Ortberg, we’ll discover how to find lasting peace and satisfaction in living life with God.

“The soul is the coolest, eeriest, most mysterious, evocative, crucial, sacred, eternal, life-directing, fragile, indestructible, controversial, expensive dimension of your existence. Jesus said it’s worth more than the world.” –John Ortberg
